FBR POS invoicing for restaurants in Pakistan
This page explains how FBR digital invoicing works and what Siraya does when the FBR module is on — Scale, or Pilot/Growth with the FBR add-on. It is not a claim that every Siraya account submits live FBR invoices. This is product documentation, not tax or legal advice.
Who this is for
Registered restaurants in Pakistan that must issue FBR digital invoices from the till. If you are not required to submit, you still use Siraya tax settings for GST on the bill. Live submission is a separate module.
On a Growth account without the add-on you may see FBR mentioned in tax settings. That is not the same as a dedicated FBR screen or live invoice posts.
What FBR expects from a restaurant till
After the guest pays, the regulator needs a digital invoice: your NTN and business identity, province, tax on the bill, and line items the gateway can accept. The cashier should not wait on that network call to close the table.
What Siraya does when the module is on
Saving FBR settings requires the fbrIntegration add-on (included on Scale). When an order becomes paid or prepaid, Siraya enqueues the invoice instead of blocking the till.
- Queue on payment — the cashier keeps moving
- Retry on failure (cron, capped attempts)
- Sync status: pending, submitted, failed
- Test connection before you trade, on an enabled account
If the regulator is unreachable, orders still sell. Invoices wait and retry. That is the point of the queue.
What the customer sees on the receipt
On an enabled account, after a successful submission, the receipt can show the FBR invoice reference (IRN) and QR. Until FBR accepts the invoice — or if the module is off — do not treat “IRN on every receipt” as a Siraya-wide promise.
Internet down vs FBR down
The offline POS queue keeps taking orders when the shop internet drops. FBR submit is a later step when the module is on and the invoice can reach the gateway. Do not mix the two: Growth offline selling is not live FBR posting.
Plans and pricing
Included on Scale. Add-on on Pilot and Growth. See pricing for the current FBR add-on row. Advanced loyalty and AI pricing are separate add-ons — they are not part of FBR.

Frequently asked questions
- Is live FBR invoicing included on every Siraya plan?
- No. FBR PoS-Invoicing is included on Scale and sold as an add-on on Pilot and Growth. A Growth account without the add-on does not get a dedicated FBR screen.
- What happens if FBR is down during lunch rush?
- When the module is on, the till keeps taking orders. Invoices wait in the submission queue and retry. A regulator outage does not block cashiers.
- Does every Siraya receipt print an FBR invoice number?
- Only after a successful submission on an account that has the FBR module enabled. Do not expect an IRN on every plan or before FBR accepts the invoice.
- Can I add FBR later without changing how the POS rings orders?
- Yes. Move to Scale or buy the FBR add-on. Order-taking stays the same; submission starts once settings are saved on an enabled account.
- Is this page tax or legal advice?
- No. It is product documentation for how Siraya behaves when fbrIntegration is on. Confirm current FBR rules with your tax advisor.
- Where do failed invoices show up?
- On an enabled account, Sync Center hosts the FBR panel: pending, submitted, and failed counts, plus retry. Growth without the module will not show that screen.
